In the film ‘Benson, the Maniac’, Benson Okonkwo brought a whole new dimension to the meaning of a ‘maniac’, he simply went ballistic in the film that is currently showing on Youtube, RealMoneytv. In the film, he is a sex addict who would sleep with both men and women. Actress, Shirley Igwe who is his wife in the flick, had a torrid time containing him as he would sleep with anyone regardless of family ties or status. On top of it, he is a drug addict who is into all sorts of shady deals. It is Benson’ s first attempt as a producer and the 35-minute short movie will score him high. The plot, the sound, lighting and props are just fine. For the cast, it is an assemblage of actors who know their trade. Uche Elendu, Shirley Igwe, Cossy Orjiakor, Paschaline Alex, Denrele, Chizzy Alichi, Beverly Osu and a host of others are just in their elements. The film was directed by Image Frameworks and according to the actor/producer, the entire production costs him some 2.5 million naira.
